thanks Navarth!! yes, they have mentioned a deadline of 60 days, but its not ideal to wait and risk your application I'd say

Congratulations to who have rec'd their passport request. I called my Doctor office last week to find out if results have been posted The Lady refuse to give me any details.... :( . I might go and send email to CIC or should i wait for another week?

There was an update today. I got an email today morning with a Request for RCMP Fingerprint Criminal Record Check.
Yet to get a request for Medicals. My status is still application received.

Not sure, but around 10 days ago, i have sent out a status update on my new employment with a detailed job letter. I don't think my previous letter which i submitted initially had so much details. I would be expecting my GCM notes in another 10 day.

As per my travel document , my Surname is blank. So filled in all the forms with the details as per the travel document(passport). Thats the reason may i got RCMP ahead of Medical request

regards
bruno

Getting RCMP request before Medicals is Okay.. cic requests from some people.
Looks like you have updated the sheet wrongly in RPRF col. You have to use "Additional docs requested" column to record RCMP request.

I just realizes that. They have requested RCMP check only for me. Principle Applicant. and did not request for my spouse.
Any way i am planning to do it for both of us and send them the details. That should be fine right ?

Hello,

Anyone who received MR and also received gcms after MR, can you please check what is entered for the following under medical?

Ime status: received
Reason for closure: from emed

I did medicals on nov 6th.

I just want to check if the status received means they received my results.

Thanks!

IME stands for Immigration Medical Examination. Since it says it has been received, I would assume that that is the case.

Well they requested yours as you are the principal applicant. Providing for your spouse will not harm but they do not need it. So it is completely up to you.

Is your surname blank in the passport? Usually one gets RCMP fingerprint when CIC finds a criminal record where the name matches your name. If your surname is blank or if you have a common name (example: John Smith), it is highly likely that you're requested for a RCMP certificate.

There is no any concrete ground why CIC requests RCMP, moreover RCMP gives information about background check only for the duration of stay in Canada. Some people submitting RCMP with the application and some wait for the request.

I neither submitted RCMP nor got request for rcmp. There are many folks at my office who never got rcmp either.

However, I've seen in the forum, RCMP request being issued for spouse who never traveled to Canada. Her surname was blank in the passport. There are many posts where this theory has been true.

Congrats aquareo.... :)

Relief.. !!!

Finally the clinic has uploaded my medicals to CIC.

No change in ECAS though, but i shall worry about it after some time...m happy that the glitch with uploading our medicals is been resolved, though it took a month but hey... :)
