HI JasleenK , 2 of my friend had also received RCMP request but in most cases RCMP request comes if you have not mention your SURNAME name or have very common one also if you have made more then 3 trips outside Canada in Last 1 year. Not sure if this is correct but this is what i been told
Ohh this is really interesting. If it is the case then in my case I do not have a surname but have put my entire name in Surname column as per CIC Instructions. Let's wait for any other comments from people who too received RCMP requests. It's ironic though that most of the RCMP Requests were received yesterday!

hey jasleen , thats some food for thought , even i dont use a surname , guess it looks like the people with no surnames getting the RCMP request hmm...

They run a check on their system with your name and if their is any match (someone with the same name who has some form of a record) they request the RCMP clearance to make sure it's not you.

thanks JSM that makes sense , any clue if RCMP( criminality check ) is after eligibility assesment is done or it may be well before eligibility is in progress , or both of them may run parallel , any thoughts ?

Thanks JSM for the info

Hi,

Current application status is In-Process

My company policy changed and I sent a scan of updated letter of employment on email @ OttPilot-Immigration@cic.gc.ca. I have not received any confirmation besides the automated reply. I dont know if they have attached the new documents to my file. I sent the email on 20th Aug. Usually how many day do they take to respond ?

Also, I sent a cover letter in a word doc explaining that the letter intially send had purpose of letter to "rent an apartment" since HR policy did not support immigration directly, however now that they support they issued a similar letter with purpose as "to attach along with PR application". I hope this they consider this explanation.

Any opinion anybody ?

Regards,
Gigoin

Hi Gigoin,

I sent an updated reference letter to OttPilot-Immigration @ cic.gc.ca. as well, and they replied exactly after one week saying that the letter was attached to my file. But we have to keep in mind that the officer may choose not to consider any docs sent after the initial package was received, unless requested. Hoping for the best though:)

what is better option to order notes on immigration file:
1) https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en
2) or from GCMS / CAIPS website...?

Whatever all things have been updated since you submitted your file, kindly update with cic as well. It is in the best interest of yourself that they should know whats going on?

Thanks for your replies guys.

I have sent my updated employers letter of reference and other documents (Latest NOA and other documents on email) on 20th Aug.
Just received and automated reply.

No confirmation that it is attached to my file.

Should I try and find out or send again ?

Regards,
Gigoin

Took me 2 tries to get the files attached to my case. On my second try I was instructed to keep the file under 5MB and to consolidate (if multiple) files into 1 document. I did what was asked and received confirmation within 1 week of sending my documents.

Personally, I'd wait 2 weeks from the date you first sent it, since things are moving slower due to PAFSO. If you don't receive anything by then, and didn't consolidate or your file was larger than 5MB, then redo and send again. If you did follow those restrictions and just didn't receive a reply, try again and write on bottom of the email body that you "kindly request confirmation that the documents have been attached for consideration" and see where that takes you.

Its all about balancing restraint and persistence... :D

CIC reply to me initial email:

Good Day

Thank you for your email.

Due to technical issues, please resend your documents under one single attachment (no zip files) .

Please ensure that your attachment remains under 5 MB.

Thank you for your understanding.

Thanks CEC2013.........

I merged my documents into 1 pdf file. Covering letter first and then all other documents. It worked wonders !!!

They replied back confirming that file is attached within 12 hours.

Thank You sooooo much.

Are there people here who paid thru international Bank draft and received AOR within two months?

Hi everyone,

My application is received last April 23 and no update after that.
Now im confused because of the ainp pilot project offered for employers.
I can ask for my boss' nomination but wondering how long is gonna be the process?
Should i just wait fir my MR request for my CEC app or apply for Ainp that has a deadline on nov. 28 this year?
