shud hav went for xpresspost.. or fedex

I agree! Canada Post is a nightmare and terribly slow.
FedEx is the way to go!

guys couple of questions, please help:

1) in the check list it says: "Include 2 self addressed mailing labels"

Is it just 2 labels (print-outs of our address in a piece of paper), or do we need to attach a postage stamp too??

2) Mailing application:

Are you guys sent it by normal Canada post or Express post? FedEx I understand but for me Canada post is very near, but confused if I should send by Express post or not. If I am sending by express post, where should I send it: to the first address or second address in the instruction guide?

thanks

For the address labels, I simply wrote my address by hand on 2 sticky labels. (I put an extra one also just incase)
It doesnt ask for a postage stamp. Only labels wth your address.

If you dont mind waiting 1 week for your documents to arrive at CIO, then you can surely use Canada Post.
But Express Post or FedEx will take 1-2 days. (the price is worth it in my opinion)

If using fedex or ups then you use the second address which specifies (courier sent).

Thanks, so which means, even for Canada post express post - I should still send to the first address?

Yes, because Canada Post is classified as regular mail.

If you still need printed labels, Staples will do it for you. 14 labels for 5$ but you need only two of them :) I got it done from there just to make it bit neat.

Hi,
I would suggest to go for Purolator as Fedex charges almost double then Purolator and takes the same time. My application reached on the next day. I would not suggest the Canada express post. It is good but for this kind of important documents... Naaa.... :-X

Hi Guys

Want to make sure before I send out my application... :D
So via Xpresspost which address I am sending it to?

Was hoping to get application off this month but language test has stalled everything which is annoying.

Just a question on the photos. I got the photos taken at a place that did not have a 'date stamp' so he has written the date of when the photos were taken. Will this be sufficient? What has everyone else done in regards to photos?

I think 'writing' should be fine, as per check list it says "..write name and date of birth of the person who appears in the photo as well as the date the photo was taken"

but problem with writing is, anybody can write easily on an old photo with a new date so that's why stamped dates have more authenticity. Why take chances, better get the date printed/stamped in the backside.
