Hey again!

So it's been over a week since my last post here and I still have no AOR nor has the application been returned as 'incomplete'. It's 2 months since it was received in Sydney (March 12) and it seems, according to the spreadsheet, that all March applicants have now received their AOR. Also ECAS can't find any information after trying on numerous occasions with both the UCI number and the receipt number. I'm getting slightly concerned now...! :(

Any ideas on who I should contact in CIC? Will they even entertain my query seeing as I have no reference number or AOR to quote?

Thanks guys!

Hi sues murph,
i am the application in April, i have the same situation with you. i just wondering that have you received your AOR?

they take 40 days to 3 months for initial processing.

it all varies with visa office and officer

K AOR mean acknowledgment of receipt normally we saying file number. After 3 or 4 days you get your file number you can go to online application status on CIC website. That means Ecase. Just fill your details probably it will automatically save

why can i not see my status on cic i tryed for weeks now but nothing :( and meanwhile my husband has been deneid visa now we just appeal ..

Hi Folks My application was received by CIC on March 28 , I received the AOR on May 3, My Ecas now Shows Application Received , doesnt say about anything being in process , I wonder why some Applications are already in process, Also any clue when can we expect the medicals ?

You are wondering why some applications are already 'in process' and not yours.
The ones whose applications are 'in process' are wondering why they are 'in process' and not in 'application received' status like yours.

Applications 'in process' so quickly is no guarantee of quicker processing. From what I have understood with all the messages floating around, it is technical glitch. Sooner or later all applications need to reach Ottawa. Consider yourself lucky that your application is falling in line with 99% other applicants.

Expecting medicals - Long way to go. As per the current pace, 8 months average from the date of application receipt at CIC.

Thanks Andy , I guess the best approach is to be patient and wait

Exactly. It's a long journey and PATIENCE is the key :)

I actually wonder what takes them so long , some of my friends who applied around september 2012 have not received medical requests yet

They have a lot of applications to process... They start something and the application is then left idle while that happens - it could be 1-6 months! In the interim, we wait ! :)

Exactly! Its a government agency like any other....limited resources and tax dollars. They receive tens of thousands of applications annually. They first check that you have included everything needed and then place you in queue for processing. Meaning, newer applications get to go to the end of the line (or bottom of the pile).

It used to be that you waited for months to get an AOR, and then quickly receive MR. Now, you get the AOR quickly, but wait for months on the MR. Like JSM said, all you can really do is wait and be patient! :)

Hi

i needed to send some additional documents for my CEC app.

i emailed both Sydney and Ottawa office, i got reply from Ottawa office that

i have to sent documents to Ottawa.

Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa

i am assuming my application has been sent to Ottawa from Sydney.

@mannte

yes I did the same, I have an update to one of my major form so I was told to send the hard copy to Ottawa. Updates to supporting documents like CRA NOA, payslip, T4 etc. can be scanned and emailed and it will be accepted.
