I think I got something named differently that works as an abstract. I think it was called driver record or driver history. They also took my US D/L

Yes, the name varies by jurisdiction which is what makes it more complicated. But it's an official record of your licence (or license) history with the respective authority. I haven't had any problems since getting my BC licence (and I've renewed it once since then).

Hi,

I sent my application to the Buffalo office as n out of country applicant. I included my children's and my medicals and FBI report, etc.

They received my application March 8, 2012. My spouse was approved in June. On Sep. 13, I received an email requesting RCMP fingerprints (common name) and RPRF which I sent in right away. My status went to "in process" on Sep. 13. My address is now listed as my address in Canada online.

Does anyone have any ideas as to a timeframe for approval? Or have I been approved and now just waiting for the paperwork to be completed? The reason I ask is that I need to start a job in late December and was wondering if I should apply for another work visa.

How can I verify they have everything they need? Or do I wait for an email from them?

Thanks!

Welcome!

The only thing you can do now is wait. Ottawa/LA is fairly new since Buffalo closed, so the time frames aren't really set in stone.

Oh man, congrats! Is this our first March, outland, USAer? This gives me hope as we have almost the exact same timeline. But, now I'll be even more nervous and impatient haha.

Oh, and taking some personal anecdotal evidence - kids or no kids on the application cgagnon?

Computergeek was the first :)

And because I've gotten to know cgagnon, no kids haha :)

I've told hubby if I was at work or volunteering when the letter came in to call me. He has every number on a piece of paper! :P

Congratulations! I'm so happy for you and your hubby. Finally some good news for our batch. Btw, can you update the spreadsheet. I went in process sep. 28th. Thanks a bunch!

Well, if it works like it did for us, the sponsor may very well get the e-mail, not the applicant.

;D ;D :o :o woohoo!! I just got an email from LA requesting for my passport! Thank God it's almost over. I was getting a little depressed on the waiting game.

We sent our application Mar 14 and it was received in Mississauga Mar. 15. Sponsor approved June 21 and file transferred to LA. Then went IN PROCESS Sep 28th. And finally PPR Oct 12!

@cgagnon- did your hubby have to take another photo for the passport? I'm not quite sure if I need to send photos again along with my passport since I included a couple of them when I filed my app.
