Thanks everyone, we can discuss the New Delhi VO process in the other thread as well! Cuz I think some of us are back to back to back with AORs and Approvals. Will be interesting to track the VO stage.

Hi , everybody, today just received a email from
CIC(OttPilot-Immigration@cic.gc.ca)
You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing.
But why I can't check my status using my UCI or Application No:
Did any person same as me can't check and only waiting for the step 2?

Hello.

My first time on this thread, but I have been following it for a long time. My package was received on the 16th of March. I have heard nothing yet. I am a citizen, so I have no means to long into the system.

I am also living in Thailand with my sponsor. Do you think they would have sent a letter to Thailand, instead of an email? It seems cruel. Is now an acceptable time to get in touch with them?

I have been doing my best to relax and let the chips fall as they may, but I am beginning to freak out. I know the rest of you have felt this.

Straightforward relationship. First marriage for both. Been together 4 years before getting married. Lived together the entire time. Family travelled to Thailand for the wedding.... etc.

This thread has been very helpful and therapeutic to read. I appreciate all your efforts to keep everyone happy and sane.

Guess, I finally just needed to reach out. Put my hat in the ring. Admit that I need support to get through this.

Glad for everyone who had moved onto step 2! Thanks again to all of you for posting so honestly and sharing your time.

BIGJ

Hey Big Jump,

you'll get approval soon! it seems that your case is quite straightforward, so nothing to worry about... it's a long time to wait and I can understand that it is frustrating to see people approved after you ( although of course it's always good news) - but your approval might be on the way with the letter... that would be a bit cruel indeed, but who knows...

I don't think you can call any more from outside of Canada apparently it doesn't work... and since officially on the website they are still working on 29th february applications, if you manage to call they might not be wiling to answer your query... but they should update today ( or tomorrow) the website, and if it's past your date, then try and contact them... but I think it is a reasonable time to contact them and ask, explaining that you are worried the letter might be lost because of where you live...

Good luck for the wait - it's hard indeed!
Keep us informed,
Sweden

waiting for ppr :) hope to receive it soon.. im missing my hubby so much. God bless everyone :)

Congrats O-zone, in-can and cdn1! :) we're one of the lucky ones that got our AOR & Approval thru E-mail.. I cannot get it why they have to send some approvals in post mail while its more easier to e-mail.. tsk tsk.. well I don't think we can do something about that.. Goodluck to the Step 2 guys! :)
