Hi Fellows,
My husband filed his FSW application last 05/2014 and received the UCI # last 09/2014. The message said that it's already under processing. Until now, we haven't received any update from CIC nor the Immigrant Consultant. I noticed that most of the FSW applicants even from my country had their Medical Exams already requested after 4-5 months only and had already landed - even filed application later than ours.
Please enlighten.
Also, will an arranged employment helps in speeding up the processing of this application?
Much help and advise very much appreciated, please.
We have been waiting for the update and dying to leave already.

Since you received PER long time ago, your application is now lying with your VISA OFFICE.

So you can raise "Case Specific Enquiry" with your visa office.

Or you can order for GCMS notes to understand possible causes of delay

I logged in the portal and it says, "Under Processing..."
I also sent request to the "Case Specific Enquiry" yesterday but it says that I may not get a reply if within the timeline; although we all know that so many applications in our VO are already done with processing or processing ahead of time.
Please teach me how to send request thru GCMS. Because I tried and it says that, "To be eligible to make a request under the Access to Information Act or the Privacy Act, you must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or an individual or corporation currently present in Canada."
Please help!!!

We called up CIC a while ago. The Agent told us that the VO received it on Oct. 30, 2014. Since it was the only info he could give us, he sent us an email so we can send our inquiries directly to the VO.
Since we inquired from the website and sent an inquiry to the e-cas, we’ll get a reply in 28 days if we’re lucky given a response.
We’ll also try the GMCS.
Maybe this way the VO will be given a heads up and the case will be given the preferential attention this time considering that we are exhausting all possible means of knowing the status / “specific inquiry” and we seem to be really eager for the facilitation of the processing as compared to the average processing time.
Are we correct on this thought? Please enlighten and comment.
