i think Alberta & Manitoba are the same.... you will get your health insurance the same day when you apply & you can apply upon your arrival, unlike in Ontario & Vancouver you have to wait for 90 days before you can apply for health insurance.

for those who already landed pls correct me if Im wrong

Yes pwede ito... health Ministry will send your wife's medical surveillance paperwork sa Canadian address mo and may option doon to call the medical practitioner if there's a need to reschedule. Ok umalis pero keep track of all the mails sa canadian address mo para wala kang ma-miss.

I am not sure... but if i am on your shoes i'll keep it myself na lang muna. Tutal goal ko naman is to pass the landing process, baka matagalan ang imbestigasyon ng Immig Officers at busisiin pa yung motive mo for landing ;D

ang tagal naman ng passport with visa. 18 days and counting. i called DHL to ask if may pinadala just in case baka walang magrereceive, wala naman daw.
to those who would want to inquire also from DHL eto yung number: 879-8888 then sa domestic services.

to those na nakatanggap na ng passports nila, may babayaran po ba sa courier? dapat ba tayo mismo magrereceive or pwede helper? need din po ba may valid ID yung magrereceive?

no need to get insurance. covered kasi once you arrive don. just get the health card lang for calgary bound immigrants.

May question lng po para sa mga nakapag land na sa canada, yun po bang picture na naka attached dun sa certificate of permanent residency ang gagamitin ng cic para sa pr card? Nagaalala kasi ako ba bka madelay ang issuance ng pr card ng baby kong 5 months pa lang kasi dun sa picture nya na sinubmit for visa which is also the same picture na nka attached dun sa cert perm resid nya nka smile sya. Bawal ata sa guideline nila ang naka smile sa picture.

Meron po Php95.20. In our case wala kami nung dumating c mamang DHL. Ayaw ibigay sa mom ko, so inadvice na lang nila na pumunta kmi sa office nila after 6. Pagkatpos nila magdeliver. Just present your I.D then you'll get your package na ;D ;D ;D
