About the Appendix A ... Of what I can understand from it. All that is required is the principal applicant and any children that may belong to the applicant their information must be written in regardless if they are going to Canada or not.

Being I am the sponsor I believe my information is not required on that form as I am already Canadian and can enter Canada any time.

I will have to try and double check first if my information is required under spouse.

hi Everyone,

Just want to share a good news. Our status in ECAS changed today to Decision made. Finally after 17 months of waiting, we are close to having my visa soon. Does anyone here have an idea, how long will it take for them to deliver my passport with Visa?

Thanks. To all who are still on wait, stay patient, everything is all worth it as soon as you have it.

God bless everyone!
Congratulations!!! your long wait is almost over.

Hey Chris,

I got a question for you I email CIC but they haven't got back to me. Currently we still haven't receive our marriage certificate. Do you know if there is a time limit that CIC must get the application if we did the medical prior to applying. She did her medical on March 18, 2015, next Saturday will make it one month. It seems it make take couple of months before we got our certificate. I been hearing that they need to have it in 30 days or else it ain't valid. As well Chris congratulation you will soon be reunited with your wife. I envy you so much, I miss my wife so much. It hurts because we got everything ready except for that one piece of paper.

hi..though you didnt ask me i hope i could help....since you dont have a marriage cert from the NSO i pressume..you can submit a copy of the marriage contract you signed if you got married in church or a copy from your cityhall if it is civil..just note there that the original the authenticated one will be to follow..dont wait months..time is so much gold.....and once your wife gets the orginal one, you can just send a scanned copy of it through email...that's what my husband and I did...

About the Appendix A I took a good look at it myself and have filled it out for my wife and will send it to her so she can use it. I think the only information needed is her own as we don't have any children together.
I do not think my information is needed on her Appendix A. However I will be sure to also send her a blank copy along with a separate sheet with my info in case I am incorrect. We are hoping she will be able to be issued her Visa/COPR in person before she departs back for Thailand.

Chris.

Thanks for the well wishes...... and yes she should be able to get her PCC. Is there not a registration of marriage form that you two have signed and have copies of? Your wife could bring a copy of that as proof of your marriage in order to apply for the PCC. That should take roughly 1month to receive. Be ready to send in your application ASAP as you have 90 days to apply from the date printed on the PCC, CIC must receive it with in those 90days or it will be invalid.

As well have your wife apply for the AOM (Advisory of Marriages) CRS Form 5 if she has not done so yet. Manila will ask for it later.
Oh I almost forgot have your wife get 2 original copies of the AOM. Just in case CIC loses it or doesn't send it to CEM with your package.

If its possible keep duplicates of everything your going to send to Mississauga I kept copies of just about everything and having that has helped as they did request things that were already sent before.

Chris.

We have an original copy of our marriage license which we sign in front of the judge. That's such a relief knowing we have up to 90 days but I will send it as soon as I get the forms from her. I will tell you tonight to apply for the AOM form. I didn't even know about that thanks Chris. Smart thinking I'm going to follow your advice and make duplicates of every I send to Mississauga. Thanks a lot Chris for all the help you have provided me, you have been such a good support. Glad I join this forum.Again congratulation to you and your wife :)

Hi friends,
Question, can i forward additional documents(proof) to cic even though it wasn't requested?
I have included the stamps on our passports as proof of our travels outside the country but the front page of the passport i included was my husband's new passport so the pages with stamps and the front page doesn't match.
Has anyone here tried sending documents proactively?
Thanks much

Remember kyo you have 90days from the date that is printed on the police clearance to have the application received by Mississauga.

Manila may or may not request the AOM but chances are good they will. As stated get at least two. If there is time to receive it you can send one along with the application.

Copies are a good idea... I am very thankful that I had copies of almost everything. We did receive a document request back in September asking for the AOM and asking for proof of the severance of my previous common law relationship. Originally the proof of severance, a letter that we both signed (made many original copies of this) along with my tax documents stating marital status was single up till our marriage, were all included with the application sent to Mississauga.
When I went for a visit I took all that information yet again and sent it from Thailand right to Manila by courier. I have said this elsewhere too, from the GCMS notes it can be seen requests made back to Mississauga for documents that CEM should have had in their possession. What would have happened if the request to Mississauga would have failed? I am positive we would have been asked to resubmit the missing documents.

In this case since they are important documents, It may be best to make scans of both passports and uploading the scans through the specific case inquiry system, along with an explanation as to why your sending an update.

You do have a File and or UCI number and the application is currently in Manila?

For my wife's application we sent copies of both her passports new and old as like yourself the new one was received right before sending out the app. We also included the certificate authorizing the use of the new passport from the old one from her Embassy.

Thanks Chris,

I don't have a uci yet since we just sent the application,
We'll just wait to have our papers forwarded to Manila vo then we'll send the copy.
The old one is just for proof though, since it was the passport he used in our honeymoon and overseas travels.

Good News everyone our marriage certificate finally came! Tomorrow my wife will do her police clearance and send it to me all. Now all I'm missing is my option form C which should come tomorrow or Tuesday since it has been two weeks. Hopefully to ship out our documents by this upcoming Friday. As well will start to make copies of everything I will send to CIC.
Thanks Chris
