my plane will land from manila-HK-To pearson airport. i was just worried coz i already have a ticket with MNL-HK-TO itinerary but then a friend of mine was adviced by the Seminar officer that first time landed immigrant should do it in vancouver, was just worried if i need to re route my trip and land in Vancouver first, but if i can do it in TO the i think i dont have a problem :)

You will do it in Toronto. You always do it where you first land in Canada. Only exception is the PAL flight that was mentioned earlier. As it just lands and lets people off then goes on to Toronto.

Just to let people know my wife got her DM today.

Hello…First time here….I have applied for family class (conjugal) visa for my partner. My half of the application was "decision made" very quickly. I have seen in the forum here that many visas have been issued of applicants who have filed later than myself. Prior to our permanent visa application, we tried twice to get a visitors visa and refused. We had no idea that Manila refuses automatically. We were told this by our now immigration consultant. My application was received Set 17, 2012, my partners file received in Manila Oct 23, 2012 along with her medical. Her passport was requested and received in Manila approx June 15, 2013. From what I have seen n this forum it is usually three months after the Passport is received in Manila that the visa is issued. We are now past the normal wait time of 14 months plus 29 days. What should we do???

Have you tried contacting VO Manila? Or MP? Sometimes these help move things along. From what I've read on forum.

Good Luck,
Step

I would shoot CEM a case specific email titled "expired medicals" and ask them if you need to get remeds. That is what seemed to spark my app and even though they asked for new medicals, my app changed to "In process" right away. Not that it has moved since then though...... Your app was filed 1 week before mine.

hi kumusta? just wondering if anyone here was sponsored or is currently being sponsored by their spouse outside canada with their spouse with them in the same country? my work permit expired and my implied status is soon ending so we wanna stay in the philippines while he's sponsoring me. he's coming with me because we just got married and we don't wanna live apart. he just got out of school too and he only started working a few months ago. will that affect his financial ability? any advice?
