That's cool that they sent a nice detailed response! Good news about the medical as well. It makes me curious if they are extending medical validity to reflect processing times now? It would make sense.

i think you are right...the applicants who got their visa had their visa expiration on the date of their medical exam (exactly 1 year). January 8, 2014 is almost the 14th month of my medicals...it's ok...hubby and I are busy at the moment...late this year would be a good time. but i will still order my gcms notes to make sure our app is right on track

Well, if they are paying attention and you have an easy case, they might call you to the embassy to present a plane ticket in early to mid October.. just look forward to that maybe happening! And order your GCMS notes in the mean time to make sure your application is on track.

Objectively speaking, I think I have an easy case. Too bad I won't make it to this year's Thanksgiving. My husband will be all alone again.

Anyway, I am just hoping now that I can leave before the year ends. But since they extended the validity of medicals to 14 months (I assume), there's a possibility that my visa won't be released this year. Oh I am getting pessimistic as days go by. Not good.

Just curious but will ordering the GCMS notes delay the application? I ordered mine two weeks ago. Not sure if there will be any impacts to our time frames.

Just a thought but when we all have our spouse's visas we should have a reunion, say in Niagara Falls or something with our spouses and families. It would be good to out a face to all of you peepz.

It is done by a different area/department i believe. So should not have any bearing on it.
