It's fine for him to be in the Phils while the application is going on, because he's a Canadian citizen I assume.. Yes I would include as much proof as possible, including his plane tickets.

I am new here. I just want to ask on how I can sponsor my partner for 10 years and his son using conjugal sponsorship. He is married and he filed an annulment last year but nothing is happening. He filed it in Cavite and there is a freeze in annulment cases there as they combined all annulment cases in 1 court with no permanent judge. So we were told by our lawyer that it might take long as there are 5,000 cases all in all. I am PR here in Canada for 3 years and I went home every year just to be with them. My family even went home last year hoping i will be marrying. To make the long story short, I just want to know if you think we have a chance? and what are the proofs that I can gather for the application? your reply will be greatly appreciated.

Steph is probably the best person to post on the subject of annulments. You may also want to find the thread on annulments as there are many others who are also going through this.

Here is one of the threads on annulments:

Hi Joy16, you can find my answer on the other thread but I say just go for it! I know personally I spent way too long worrying about it instead of just filing.

Personally, I think that thread on annulment is a big advertisement for a particular lawyer and should be removed. I have no patience for that kind of fishing..

Tagum, awesome, 25 dollars, I hope he took you out for fish and chips! That's a thousand pesos :o

Thanks... :) read it already. I saw the annulment forum as well. Honestly it looks enticing because my fear of being denied is big time. By the way, did they asked you for more proofs when you passed the application already?

No, I was so surprised. No more proofs. My application once it was open was passed to 3 different officers for review. The final review approved it, it was about 2 or 3 weeks in total after they opened it to approval on their paper.. of course it took 13 months in real life.
