I would like to add a document to my application in Manila. Anyone done that before?
yes just send it and make sure the file number and names etc etc go with it, send it courier,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,sending extra docs is one way you can get the dust blown off your file each time they receive them they have to open it and place the docs inside

Yes, people have.. best time is at the time of the Passport Request. The file should be in Manila at the time that you send the extra document. Just make sure your file # is included. The address is:

Family Class Section
Immigration Section
Canadian Embassy, Manila
Level 6, Tower 2, RCBC Plaza
6819 Ayala Avenue
Makati City 1200
Philippines

Just a note on healthcare in BC - since I looked through a few of your old posts. Sweden sent me this link and I thought I would share.

http://www.health.gov.bc.ca/msp/infoben/pdf/covering-a-spouse-or-child-who-is-an-applicant-for-permanent-resident-status-in-canada.pdf

According to the fine print here, the 3 month waiting time actually starts when you submit your application, not when the spouse lands. I think that bringing a copy of those rules and a copy of your AOR or your receipt of fee payment your wife should be added to your MSP right away. Apparently this is necessary since the people working there aren't totally aware what the rules say.
