Besides, the GCMS ordering procedure is automated, and the report appears to be automated. I don't see why they wouldn't also automate the email reply as well (just like the initial receipt). So I doubt it has anything to do with job action. More like they coded it to send as late as possible but still within deadline (1 day before in my case).
Sure, to prevent us from ordering one every day.

In fact if they REALLY want to have an impact, delay anything involving FSWP and Entrepreneur classes. THAT will get the government's attention. They get no appreciation from me by delaying my wife's app.

Delaying the processing of non-Canadians is a wasted effort. You want to interfere with those people who have the right to complain and hassle politicians.

So if I want to know where my app is I can order it today, they will print it out tomorrow and send it to me next month! This is our government's version of "Action" alright...

Wrong, the ones complaining won't just be the applicants, but the Canadian employers wondering where there people are. Imagine how RBC would howl if their "foreign transfer" people start facing delays.

They will let us howl a lot, they are a majority. But they will listen to their source of funding and their lobby groups.

Any good news on your gcms that youre near to getting your visa? I hope it will be worthwhile reading mine when it arrives with regards to docs they received. If its already complete or not.

LOL. The government wants to downsize people and wages. They have never been more clear then with all the meddling they have done with collective agreements and now this omnibus bill. The idea is to eradicate the Canadian reliance on government services so that private interests can assume those roles charge you more and pay their workers nickels and dimes to provide the services. Canadians aren't large advocates of deregulation. Deregulation has never worked out so well for us having a small population spread out over a large area. So the best way to get around deregulation is to neuter the service so people cry out for and alternative in the private sector. Its already started at Canada Post.

Basically that the only thing holding anything up is the medical and that they have known this since mid-March.

The RBC is hardly relying the training of workers to outsource as a means to keep their billion dollar profits. Of all the different means of immigrating to Canada the largest is family class.

But my point is they will not care much if you or I complain it is taking a long time to get our wives here. But they will care when their corporate sponsors start wondering why they are having a hard time getting their low cost staff here. And some companies rely on them more than others.

The "steak holders"

I give blood regularly. And for those that never have there is a long list of questions you have to answer every time you go. Part of that list (maybe 20 or so questions) deals in one way or another about having had sex recently (obviously screening for AIDS/STDs).

So every time I get to that part I just say my wife is in Manila and I haven't had any since (insert last visit here). But of course they won't accept that and will ask every single question (to which I have to go "no, no, no, no, no...").

Next time I go is mid-June. If all goes well and my wife gets here, I will be able to answer with http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQlIhraqL7o!!!

I understand your point but I still think the impact will come from the family class applicants. Citizens are voters and PR's may one day be voters. Until government removes the right to a free vote this will have repercussions into the future of their own political futures.

Would they still be "steak holders" if they are vegans?
