Hello, has anyone ever received a UCI number for the Applicant from CIC?
Or will it come with first correspondence from CEM?

The sponsors will come from CIC and the applicants will come from CEM from what I remember.

Well its now been just over 7 months since my AOR and from reading how long some people have been waiting, I may have some time before me or my wife may hear. I feel for those who have waited for oh so long to have their wives or husbands be here with them, I know the heartache, frustration and all the other emotions that go along with this process and the absence of our loved one's.

Im not so sure if applicant will eventually get a UCI number but what i know is UCI is for the sponsor and the File number is for the applicant. Thats what the CIC gave us in the confirmation of receipt of our application.

That's all I have received so far too, have read in other thread about applicant receiving UCI. I think maybe will come with first correspondence from CEM or not. Wait and see.

In Process - May 10 2013
BS BS BS BS BS BS - May 11 2013 until March 16th 2014!

Step..the UCI for the applicant is generated when the file for Permanent Residency is created...about the same time that the Sponsor gets they're assigned number.
If it's important you can probably get it from the CIC call center..

Thanks JGM613, but I don't think there is any need for UCI really.
E-CAS is so unreliable and poorly up dated anyway.

Cheer up, we are both August Applicants it can't go on forever. Just think, everyday that passes is one day closer to the ultimate goal.
Manila is really starting to pick up processing now, has been 5 months of hardly any movement to PPR's and Visa's now.
Things are starting to look up now.
I know it is the hardest thing in my life I've had to endure. This process, but will be worth it when my wife can finally join me.

I've noticed a few who got VISA's no mention of when CIC sent, my guess would be they just show up by courier. One fellow on this thread received in 2 days after DM.
But not sure.
