When traveling internationally, I usually start with the following website: matrix DOT itasoftware DOT com and then book with the airline direct using the codes from my search. I think it's the same software travel agents use. I can usually get better prices cutting out the middle man. I entered your Van-moncton trip on the 10th of Sept and it came out to $904. Not a lot of savings from what you got but every little bit helps. Maybe you or someone else can find it useful.

You are welcome! Like I said, you can't book on it direct, you have to call the airline yourself to book but I find that the site is pretty easy to navigate to compare the best flights/prices and routes etc and when contacting the airline direct. Ny wife wanted something Aug 18 - Aug 30. Our anniversary is Sept 1st and she doesn't want to miss it (seeing as we just missed her birthday in July). So far the best I could find was Manila to San Fransisco to Toronto. I think that was $1280 or something like that. It was PAL and AC so that wasn't too bad. Though with switching carriers I'm worried how much the extra bag will be (we managed to squeeze all her stuff into 3 bags so we will have to pay for an extra).

I was going to call Cathay and see if anything can be had for points, but all the available flights with them I see now are 3 plane combos with American carriers doing part of the flight.

TRY checking out if you can send extra luggage as cargo and pick it up at the cargo terminal,,MY WIFE IS LUCKY SHE WILL NOT BRING ANY OF THE LITTLE BOYS CLOTHES I HAVE PLAENTY HERE FOR HIM,,,,SHE CAN USE HIS LUGGAGE CAPACITY,,,WHERE IS YOUR FINAL DESTINATION IN CANADA

SCOS Filipinos cannot travel through united states to Canada unless they have a united states tourist visa,,,,,,,,your booking has to to be to Canada which is either Vancouver or toronto

yes Scos, watch out for this. She wont be able to go through the US without a visa. If you talk to a travel agent make sure you mention no US stopover. Some travel agents are oblivious to this.

Hey tagum, this is for one adult right? So plus for your kid? Im also traveling with a kid... Why not get philairlines all the way? Im looking at sept 13 at $912.... A total of $1760 for me and my kid. Its just the same plane that will stop in vancouver for an hour and a half... I thinkno need for the toronto passengers to disembark at vancouver... Traveling with a kid and with all the luggages is such a feat to transfer to another airline... I have a two year old to which i dont even know if i can bring! Lol. But still keeping my spirits high that your visa and my daughter's will be out soon.

It is now 1545 on cone travel for 1 aldult 1 child on sept 10 airphils to Vancouver air Canada to Toronto 814 aldult 746 child minus 20 discount,,,,,,,,,aldult alone is 876-10=866

if you don't have the visa yet like me you mite as well consider getting here b4 sept 30 and collect the 485 for sept family allowance 2 tickets trying to come earlier than 28 days from buying ticket will probably allways out weigh the 485 dollars,,,,,,,but remember if the ticket price on sept 30 is only up to 485 dollars more than 0ct 16 then fly on sept 30 and you will collect the 485dollars later from family allowance,,,,,now this is only true if you income is not over 40,000 dollars ,,,,after that the amount is reduced you collect,,,,by the time you make 90,000 and 1 child you receive 0 dollarsof the 385/month family allowance but you still get the 100 monthly benefit for daycare
