Maybe his wife is a brain surgeon and she is looking for work abroad.

Hey guys do you have any experience with Philpost? Somebody sent me a shipment to my guy.. you know, my Mugs, and it was supposed to arrive like a week ago. It was with this DEMS delivery, supposed to be one business day and cost 1,500P. It's one of those 'sorry not yet available sir/maam' things :'(
The tracking number doesn't work. The online help chat is never available. None of the contact numbers connect to anything. And half the time the website is also sorry not available. Then I googled it and the website was all "we're doing our best to prevent truck hijacking during the Christmas season, people"

LMAO! Yeah, and $50,000 . . . is that right?

need some help in deciding.. found a ticket for manila-toronto thru cathay (directly from their website) for USD 965.70 with taxes in, for july 21, rebooking fee is free of charge, cancellation is $100. that's the cheapest available (there's one with the same price and details for july 7). all other tickets are over $1200.

cem received my passport, may21, is there a chance that ill have the visa before july 21? (very straight application, both of us are filipinos, same age, mid 20s, no dependent, both never had any marriage prior) was thinking, if ill get the visa earlier, then i can have it rebooked to an earlier date if available, or if ill not have the visa, i can have the ticket cancelled for $100. i have this odd feeling this ticket will not be available anymore if i waited too long. been checking the site almost everyday, and this is their best deal so far. what do u think guys? ::)

Re-booking is free, but will they charge you the difference of the price of a new ticket?

I think it sounds good enough if you're going straight through the airline. But I would never trust Travelocity to keep their word on something like that. Last time I had to go to the BBB to get them to give my money back after they changed their tune.

yes, straight from cathay's website. they will charge the difference, but i was thinking if i'll have the visa earlier, i can check if the july 7 (same price and everything) has available slots, if not, i can just settle with july 21. and then if i will not have the visa by then, i can just have it cancelled for $100.

No... that would make no sense. ;D I bought something from a reliable person in Manila, they mailed it to him.

Yeah, you have a good chance :D People are landing as quick as flies! I think you should have your Visa by then, too.
