That makes sense. We submitted the Cenomar when we applied. And I guess the first police cert would be getting near expiry. That's good to know, I was wondering about that.

As for Japan...I always got stuck in the older part. Only once when I flew Delta did I get to see the new part. The old section smells like mold and for some reason the carpets always look wet?

I flew there by Delta so I guess I have only seen the new part. The washrooms are like little spaceships. Buttons for everything.

When they first introduced the MNL-YYZ route they did go without stopping. My guess is that they ended up with 2 half full planes so they changed to this arrangement. As for fuel, that isn't a problem. I usually fly Cathay Pacific and they go YYZ-HKG no problem.

I think i will use korean airlines to bring my wife here since--it flies directly to Toronto -- Cathay Pacific is great but Hongkong terminal is just too big--

as for PAL-- i took their flight last February 2013 and it was manila-Toronto with no stops--

if you do stop in Vancouver -(that will be your first jab at immigration) there is no running around that part

Yeah, the Korea route looks good too. Same time of 17 hours, 50 minutes in total. But I've never been in Seoul airport so she would be on her own for directions...

And as I said, you do not leave the plane in Vancouver for PAL, so no immigration till Toronto. It would be impossible to process a plane load of people through CBSA and immigration and get them back on the plane in under an hour. They just stop, let people off, presumably take people on, and go.

No question there. Japan has the best washrooms then anyone. Its nice to visit a country who has their priorities in order.
yes but whats that thing, when you go for a number #2 like a hole in the floor, are you suppose to aim

Your Ecas will state medical received until that medical expires then it is removed. Once you complete the remed it should be posted again. It may not be updated regularly so don't rely on it.
Noooooooooooo application received,,,,,medical received for 14 months 1 week 2 days

If PAL is continuing on to Toronto then yes but if you are changing to a domestic flight you have to clear customs and immigration before going from the international terminal to the domestic terminal.

My wife has a 6 hour wait in Vancouver before her Air Canada flight leaves for Winnipeg. So she will have to do her landing in Vancouver.

I forgot to include this link in my previous post....

Wow stil at work and you guys have been productive today! Good job :D
I had a funny/ annoying conversation with the man this morning about his his bags would be checked in Davao and checked through to Vancouver. He kept saying what, check the bags? I was like no check-in the bags... They're gonna check in my bags???? It was about 15 mins of this on infinite loop before I realized he thought they were going to inspect his bags multiple times everywhere.

HK airport is a gauntlet! I remember Seoul being a bit smaller. Love Cathay .. You're right about pal , it's slightly ghetto. Once my light button didn't work and I kept clicking it.. Anyways around takeoff I realized my light button controlled the light of some poor sucker 4 rows ahead. Lol. The plane was wired nicely. I couldn't read the while flight but I did have my entertainment :D

Yes, but in that case you are leaving the plane, so of course. But if you are staying on till Toronto you don't get off it, and go through immigration in Toronto.
