mandatory & optional duties under NOC code

Hi guys,

Some of you may aware there are many NOC duties that start with "MAY". for instance if you take a look at NOC code 6322 (COOK). There are 9 duties and 4 of them start with "MAY" which I assume is optional (what do you guys think?). I know many of you assume that the duties that I or WE need to perform have to be at least above 50% (majority) to be eligible to claim the NOC. Now the question is if I perform let's say 4 out of 5 mandatory duties (which doesn't start with "MAY") in NOC 6332 and doesn't perform all the "optional". Am I going to be eligible to claim the NOC code under EE profile?

Yes. You don't have to meet every single requirement under a NOC. I met 2 or 3 of mine (5121) I think. If your role is similar enough to the NOC you're submitting, that's what matters. In your specific case, you're fine!
