Hello Guys!
I am working for L&T InfoTech at Bangalore, India and am planning to try my luck with the FSW EE path. The HR guys directly shot down my request for a job reference letter. So will it be okay if I have the letter on the company letterhead signed by my manger instead?

Is there anything in addition to this that I need to include to show my experience?

Of course, a reference letter signed by your manager is absolutely fine.
Make sure it has all the details requested by IRCC such as no. of hours worked per week, start date and end date of your employment, full-time employee, roles and responsibilities and your annual salary in INR/USD/AED/CAD as applicable to your country of employment.

Thank you sushsmart15 ! :)

The manager will certainly provide his signature, but HR wont sign or stamp the letter. Hope that wont become a problem?

can your manager give a statutory declaration about your work? (it should fullt meet CIC requirements)

Hello Andy108,

Yes the manager is willing to provide a notarized declaration. How should I go about it to ensure my application wont get rejected?

Well tough luck guys!! Even my manager is not willing to willing to provide the letter. I'll have to make a self declared affidavit on which he is willing to sign.

Will this be an acceptable alternative?

You can print this reference letter on a plain paper and obtain your manager's signature plus his business card. Then get it notarised.
Add a LOE mentioning that your employer did not provide you this letter on letterhead and hence you have taken it on a plain paper.

Thanx sushsmart15,

Will it be better if I prepare it on a 10 Rs. Stamp paper and then get it notorised?
Plain paper is fine enough. However you are free to get it on a stamp paper.
