Managed to increase my points

So I finally entered my internship job from 9 years ago. I worked at HP as Infrastructure Administrator. Broadly punching in numbers and maintaining some kind of database. Not financial as I have no finance qualification.

I used Noc Code 2172 Database analysts and data administrators which bumped my score from 444 to 468. Great news, you say. HP are dicks about HR letters confirming roles. I know I can get an affidavit letter but still, worried now that I'm pushing it. I was an intern and although I fit into that NOC it's broad, I was only 20 and barely remember what I did. I only have my CV from the time to remind me of my role.

Advice?

I advise against it. You can't put apprenticeship work down for CIC as skilled work experience, as I only recently discovered. I'm loosing a lot of points without that work experience but I still have mid 400s, same as you, so I'm going to wait until the score drops that low instead of putting down my apprenticeship work - it's the safer option and will hopefully just take a little longer to get an ITA. Just my opinion

By apprenticeship it was my 13month industrial work placement. Full contracted work. The work did count towards my degree. Is that the same?

I don't know for sure but I did over 2 years of full contracted paid work as a traineeship and I'm not putting that down - I don't think that it's a risk worth taking if the score is going to drop to my level (453) anyway. The less work you put down in your EE profile, the less you have to prove in terms of NOCs etc and the less that can trip you up later on in your application.

I think if the work counted towards your degree there's a good chance they will consider it not to be skilled work - again, I'm no expert but this is my opinion. Have you got a lot of time left on your current visa? You could leave it out for a month or two and see if you get your ITA, and if you don't, include it if your visa is about to run out and you really need those points

Don't even have a visa! Living in NZ currently.

Won't I be in more trouble for not declaring employment though? I had no idea it would increase my points so was not done for that. Maybe exclude it for points but include it in FSW forms?

Removed it to be safe.

Maybe it will strengthen my actual application when (hopefully) it gets reviewed.

Anyone else have any advice?

It is clearly stated in the Gazette, all work experiences while studying full time is not counted.
