Dear Friends,

A month back I got my PR card as well that of my dependents. Now my question is, do you know, what is number of years (out of 5 years) do I need to reside in Canada in order to maintain my PR status ? Also is this applicable for my dependents too (i.e do my dependents also need to stay for those many number of years in order to maintain their PR status ) ?

Thanks

For the first 5 years from the date that you landed, you need to spend at least 730 days in Canada. After that, you need to be able to look back 5 years and always have at least 730 days in Canada.

Everyone must meet the RO.

So, I can keep coming and going in & out of Canada in these 5 years but in total I need to 730 days present in Canada to maintain the PR status. Did I understand this right?
