Maintained Status

Hi, My current study permit is expiring on July 30, 2025. I have applied an extension since my April 3, 2025. However, I went on vacation outside Canada on April 20, 2025 amd returned to Canada on May 2, 2025. I have received conflicting information whether or not I lost my maintained status.

My questions are:
1. Is maintained status after I apply for extension (April 3, 2025) or when permit expires (July 30, 2025)?
2. Based on my case would I still be able to study after my permit expires (July 30, 2025)?

Without knowing when you stopped studying can’t really comment but if you have been studying this semester then yes no issues.
