Thank you for reply. My question is - would I be eligible for PR renew if I apply it from Canada.
Only if you meet the residency requirement yourself.

In CIC website , this is rule to maintain PR living abroad
You travel with a spouse or partner
Your spouse or partner needs to be a permanent resident or Canadian citizen working outside Canada, full-time for
Canadian business or
the Canadian or a provincial government

My situation is slightly different. In my case, my spouse is working in Canada. does this rule apply in my case?

No. You are responsible for your own residency obligation. You do not live with your wife so the rule does not apply.

your situation is totally different.
1. you don't live with your wife.
2. she is not a Canadian citizen
3. she is not living outside of Canada

that rule is to let PR to maintain their RO when they are forced to travel/stay out of Canada because their Canadian citizen spouse is working temporary outside for Canadian business or government in order to stay together in one location.

For your case, you need to live physically in Canada to meet your own RO. 2 years within 5 to maintain your residency.
