Hi,
I'm a Japanese who stay in Canada as visitor with my sponsor and using the application "out side canada family class". I'm just beginning to work on the application and confused about Mailing address.

For IMM0008 Generic #14 as mailing address, I put my address in canada then, for #15 as residential address, I put address in japan. Then I'm confused about IMM1344EA in C 6 a) "Address where the person you are sponsoring lives?". Should I put my japanse address and put canadian address in 7? I saw other forum that people saying to put canadian address in 6 a). but if I do so, the address IMM0008 and IMM1344 6 a) will be different. Do they not have to be same??

I also wonder if I put my japanses address in IMM1344EA #6 a), how should I answer for b) and c)? It's my home country, so I don't need answer neither no nor yes?

Other way, I have my visitor status without visa that means I'm allowed to stay in canada in 180days. I have been in canada since 2008. if I put canadian address in 6 a), should I answer yes for both b) and c)?

Thank you!! any help will be appreciated!

You were not given temporary status valid for at least one year when you originally entered Canada - so you are in Canada as a visitor, not a resident. You can't use the Canadian address as your residential address. So you were right to use an address in Japan as your residential address on your application IMM0008, but you can still use the Canadian address as your contact (mailing) address. That way, when the Embassy mails you important information, it comes to you in Canada instead of going to Japan. Form IMM1344EA is one of the sponsor's application forms. The "address where the person you are sponsoring resides" should be the same address as the residential address on your form IMM0008.

Because the address in 6(a) is in your home country, you don't have to answer (b) and (c).

You don't put your Canadian address in 6(a) - whether you had been in Canada since 2008, or only a few months, unless you were admitted originally to Canada with temporary status that said you could stay for at least one year - and you had kept that status current the whole time - you can't use the Canadian address for the address where you live. You can only use the Canada address as your mailing address.

I was the same case, I was in Canada with Visitor visa, outland case.

I put...

0008 mailing add = Canada add

0008 residential = Japan add
************************
1344EA 6 = Japan add

1344EA 7 = Canada add
************************

I was a just visitor and have my family register in Japan,so I put it like this way.

When I fill papers and addtional papers, I mentioned that I am currently in Canada with my husnad and

visiting my husband^^

All the letters and phone came toCanadian address and it was ok^^
