Hi all.
So, i entered Canada from a foreign country in late June. By that time, i had a valid study permit. i made the application for a new study permit in early July. My previous study permit expired on July 31. I then received a Letter of Introduction/port of entry (POE) for my study permit application from my ircc account the other day. Application status says Approved. And that’s when I realized I accidentally filled out and submitted the application that was supposed to be make OUTSIDE of Canada instead of applying to extend while I was actually INSIDE of Canada.
Now, could someone tell me what i can do? Currently in Vancouver, I’m planning on flagpoling to get my new study permit. But I’m not sure if my expired study permit will be an issue. I filled out my stay will be 180 days at the kiosk at the boarder as i wanted to enter as visitor knowing my permit was about to expire. Plus, im with my mom who has work visa. Im not sure if thats how it works. Will this able to get my permit without getting in trouble or do yall have better suggestions? Thanks in advance.
