Ironically, the 1st lot of forms sent to Sydney when we first applied had my personal history from 18 but when they asked for the updated forms I just did the past 10 years as it said so....Anyway, I sent the forms this afternoon by e-mail, hope they are ok this time (they are exactly the same as the 1st lot + any updates from July 2011). Hopefully it won't delay application too much...

sent a CSE yesterday and got a reply today:

MY INQUIRY:
Dear Mr/Ms JMR, Good day to you. I would like to inquire regarding the status of my application. Its been 2 months since my Medicals have been sent by my DMP but to date I still don't have any update on ECAS. I am a bit worried as my DMP might have not sent it to you. Could you please confirm the receipt of my Medicals and when should I expect visa issuance, if possible. Furthermore, as we are expecting our visas within this year if God permits, me and my wife have already renewed our passports . Should we send a copy of the biopage to you or should we just wait for the passport request and send it with our old passports?

REPLY:
Please note that medical results have been received and are being reviewed. Your file is now due for officer review. We will be in contact with further information within the next 2 months when the officer review has taken place.

I WONDER WHY JMR DID NOT ANSWER MY QUERY REGARDING OUR RENEWED PASSPORTS. What do you think? And also, do you think JMR was referring to PPR when he said i should wait for 2 months?

The Minister's intention to apply the new selection criteria to "the backlog" will apply, not only to those who applied before 27 February 2008, but to everyone who will have applied up to the date he picks to introduce the new criteria.

That doesn't sound good. Basically saying the date they pick will be the date the new eligibility rules will come into force. I seriously hope we are not affected as i am sick to death of this waiting and waiting only for these people to change the rules under which we applied!

Well if the new criteria is applied to those like us that have an application in process, I am F..k.d! i only get 66 points because of my age and that is if I get spouse to submit her IELTS for 5 points. 73 at the moment, this would explain why my application has gone on to the slow pile, in 4 years time, we will be the new class of pre 2008, rejected and refunded. This subject has really made my day.

I am spending £3k on a recce which i am looking at the work, school and housing situation. What a waste of money! Everything is paid for and we are there in 2 weeks. Bollocks!

Did anyone had 3rd line before the forms were requested?
