Hi guys, my MR results has been sent to CHC today but other docs such as the updated docs (IM0008, PCC's, etc) its still with me. Is it okay that my MR will reach CHC first because im still waiting my PCC from Philippines. ???

Hi everyone!

I had my medicals at the Bridge clinic, Maidenhead, yesterday. Such a wonderful place and cheap too. Everyone at the clinic was very pleasant and helpful. I felt very relaxed and it only took about 45 mins all in all as there was no waiting. I paid £ 250 all inclusive. At least, 50 quids cheaper than doing it in London. A day return from Ilford cost me 15.50. I thought DMP's would take the medicals very seriously but I was so wrong and it was a plain sail. If you are waiting for medical, I would suggest you to request a complete blood test from your GP. I reckon, it is better to have any medical condition diagnosed and kept under control than finding it as nasty surprise during your medical. Actually, that's what I did 3 months ago and found my triglyceride's to be bit high. I worked my socks off to shed few pounds and still got the momentum going. Fingers crossed that worked.

Can i ask you some questions regarding UK? Such as:
- Since when you live in UK?
- What is the type of your residence?
- Did you try to get UK ciizenship?
- Do you have the right to be UK citizen?

Please provide me your feedback, because i have an oppotunity to go to UK, and I am comparing the facts between UK and Canada.

UK is in deep recession and while if you are hard working you can find work but inflation is destroying peoples ability to live the way they want. Best way to live is to get into the UK and go straight on benefits as in many cases you will be better off.

UK I moved over when I was 15 and am now close to 30. I got citizenship as I have citizenship of abode due to my mother. I now have both Australian and English passports.

It will be ok as long as you get em to the LVO within the time limit they gave you.

PCCs for UK arrived today. Now just waiting for peruvian PCCs, now being translated and getting legalized for use abroad. Did you know that if you have lived in peru one need THREE different kind of PCCs? Tha'ts totally out of order man!!!!!

Thanks man! I was only given 60 days. Is it the same with you? on the generic form it was supposed to be 90 days but they've slash it off and changed it to 60. Anyways, i hope my PCC arrives in due time. Cant ask to rush..

As per your knowledge and experiences in UK, do think it's a good idea for me to start new life now in UK or wait for my immigration file of Canada?

I had exactly the same. Really tatty looking forms and the 90 days strike out Nd 60 written in place

It depends what opportunities you have in the UK. I am drained from the UK and am very negative about the place. Canada has my girl and a great job when I get in, for others it is a complete new start and anything can happen.

Canada has its own financial problems, not as bad as the UK, but it is still having to cut back on things like everyone else. The UK's existence is very much linked with the EU so if that it stabilises it could really pick up.

No problem at all . IELTS must be valid at the time of submission of application. Normally the results are valid for 2 years.
