It is for Pakistan as they are unable to send their passports out of the country so they VO's use a different process for them.

Thanks or clarifying. So for me, as I am residing on London, there would only be one PPR?

From what I understand they will send the PPR and you can choose to go in directly to the LVO. You will then be requested to come and pick them up.

You can however just send them via the post but I am lead to believe that the first option is far quicker.

There is also the question about people with Passports which are visa exempt only having to produce copies of their passports rather than originals. Not really too sure on this one though.

Well, I live only 20 minutes away from the LVO so once I would get to that stage I would definitely drop off my passport and pick it up again. I don't trust the Royal Mail, so many things got lost already. Plus I would be much quicker than any courier! ;)

I am sure that there is no such option of bringing only a copy of your passport. That would make no sense at all! Yes, it is true that some countries are exempt from needing a visa but then you can only enter for 90 days as a tourist. And as a tourist there is no way for you to change your status to PR! We all need the maple leaf in our passports. :D

Hi !

Finally some good news...
I received my MR by snail mail this morning ( FSW1 London, UK). Along with the medical they've asked me to provide the following.

1.imm0008.
2.Background declaration.
3.imm5406.
4.RPRF.
5.Updated PCC.
6. imm5562e.

I am very much relieved now. You guys are right that LVO is prioritising some NOCs ( I am a Physio by the way). They did not call my employer for verification.
Good luck to you all! I hope that you all get some good news soon. Many thanks to NOW, Rynomil, Mr.E, Mr.President, Seema, Sabu and all the lovely people who keep this thread vibrant.

Well it is really starting to like Mr E was right with this bit of news.

Congratulations Tim Hunter
on getting the MR and in such a short time. Hopefully this means there are many more just waiting to hit ;D

I have a question regarding your PCC? When did yours expire? Mine will expire in November 2012 and I was just wondering if they request it before the expiry date or not?

I don't feel so bad having to only do 2 updated forms after seeing the list the have given Tim.

What really could be the point to all the updated forms? You only applied in January so there isn't really that much which could have changed surely?
