LPR (Green Card) and PR!?

Hello all,

I have sponsored my wife a few months back from the US. She has received her PR card. Now she needs to travel to the States. As I learnt, she requires a visitor's visa to enter the states.

She also still has her LPR (Green Card from the States). And I believe, that she has 12 months to surrender her LPR card. the question that I want to know is:

- Can she travel to the States with her LPR (Green Card) without obtaining a visitor's visa? And surrender her LPR there while she's in the states?

for returning back to the states, she has her PR card, which will allow her to enter Canada.

Can someone please advise...

I think it says she has 12 months to surrender it,it doesnt say she has 12 months to use it then surrender it.Once its in the system that she is to surrender it, they may take it at the POE into the states.You can easily call the US border patrol and ask them.
