Hello all,
this is Amal from Egypt we are preparing for FSWP Canada , I have a lovely daughter she has verrrry looow vision but not blind she is so smart girl amazing , do you think they may refuse our application for this reason , please any one have any helpful info can tell me i am so worry ??

What are the recurring costs of her condition, if any? Low vision, in itself, is unlikely to be a problem.

My daughter has low vision.and we are landing in August.

Is low vision the only condition that she has, or is it a symptom of another condition, such as albinism for example?

Hi guys,

I hope that this post is still active. It is really hard to find posts regarding vision problems.

I was born with a hereditary non-degenerative, non-progressive eye condition (called Bornholm Eye Disease) that only allow me to see up to 6/19 in my better eye and 6/30 in my other eye. There is no treatment available at the moment as it is a genetic disease. My condition has been like this since birth. Throughout my school years, I did not require any special education and I'd been working for 7 years without any problems. The only problem if I am lucky enough to be in Canada is I will not meet the vision requirement to get a driver's license but I'm Ok with that.

I am applying for PR under EE (FSW) and about to have my medical. I am worried that my condition would be grounds for medical inadmissibility.

Any thoughts or advice on what I should do?

Thank you.

No, your condition is not grounds for medical inadmissibility as it is unlikely to be an excessive demand on public health services.
