Hello, I had created an EE profile in March, and currently have 355 CRS score (breakdown below) - I met the minimum criteria, but barely hanging there. We might have some room for improvement with IELTS score (currently self - 7.5, spouse - 6.5), but I don't have high hopes for that. I could get my wife's education evaluation done, but that'd add only 8 points in our case.

I'm looking to find what other options we might have that could boost our chances at getting an invitation sooner or later, if any. Are there any provinces that might offer a PNP, considering this score? I'm also open to finding a job and moving to Canada on a work visa (or whatever it is called) before we get an invitation, but I am not sure if that is possible - the job portal wasn't of much help for that, a few jobs I had applied to never got any response.

Is there still a chance for us with this score, to get an invitation, ever? What steps can we take, to improve our odds?

CRS - Human Capital - Age 55
CRS - Human Capital - Level of Education 126
CRS - Human Capital - First Official Language Proficiency 112
CRS - Spouse - First Official Language Proficiency 12
CRS - Skill Transferability - Education 25
CRS - Skill Transferability - Foreign Work Experience 25

Thanks in advance, any advice is greatly appreicated!

As far as getting a job in Canada this tends to be almost impossible unless someone has unique skills not readily available. Employers once they realise someone is not already resident in the country will rarely respond to anything as they see it as too much effort when they have plenty of local candidates.

Just checking to see if anyone else has any advice/suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Edit: based on the info from https://www.nationwidevisas.com/canada-immigration/express-entry-ielts-score-required/, it seems I won't get any higher CRS points even if I improve my IELTS scores - I'm seeing that I'll get the same # of points (6 for each section) for CLB level 9 or 10, which I believe I'm at 9 right now. Is my understanding correct about this?

Well a clb 9 would definitely spikes the score but not to the situation where the crs is now (460 last draw). But then there is always hope and you need to plan. PNP is an amazing opportunity to get through. If you have an IT back ground ONIP is a good bet with people receiving NOI even with low scores, then there is NS, Sask, Alberta. You need to follow them closely and there will some window based on your education and experience

Thank you, I appreciate your advice. I do have an IT background, and what you said gives me hope. When you say follow these PNPs closely, I'm trying to understand what that means - is the nomination information listed on their website(s) somewhere, that I can keep an eye on these? Or, do I need to subscribe to any feed from these PNPs?
