Lost work permit

Hey I am currently working and living in Canada and have lost my work permit and was wondering can I get it replaced by going to the border as I am leaving Canada for a trip from 29 nov to 12 Jan. As applying it online will take much more time and I will be gone by the time it will be replaced. So please help me if going to the border and replacing it is an option. Awaiting for your reply ASAP. Thanks

You can ask CBSA to reprint it when you arrive back from your trip.

Thanks one more question. I submitted my visa application on 23 oct, so far haven’t received any email to send my passport to them and as I am flying on 29 nov, what should I do ?

If it isn't processed by the time you leave, you will have to see if you can submit your passport in your home country or if you have to reapply from there.

So let’s say I get there reply by the next week to submit my passport then should I risk sending my passport as I have to leave on 29nov or can I send it from back home ??

I don't know what the current turnaround time for passport submission and return in Canada, so can't answer that.
