Hi All,

I applied for permanent residence under CEC , my application is likely to process by next week and i have lost my credit card . Do you have any suggestion that i can avoid rejection of application and resubmit the fee payment form with new credit card details.

I send my application in August

Any suggestion would be of great help!!!

Hi,
sorry man, you have these two options.
1. Wait until the credit card is debited by the CIC and block it afterwards (not smart, because someone else can abuse your cc).
2. Block your credit card now and your application package will be sent back to you (you loose time with the reapplication).

There is nothing more you can do in this stage.
This is why people should use a money order for paying the PR fee.

Hi ,

Sorry Bro Thats very unfortunate to happen. I guess, ask your bank to only approve transaction of CEC. And block Other transaction if any. Talk to your bank. It may help.

I checked with bank as well and they said once card is blocked they cant do an authorization on it again , so no hopes from bank.

What i was thinking is should i again send a fee payment form with a Cover letter stating the situation and if they add it with my application. If that works somehow.

Where i can get the contact details of nova scotia so that i can talk to them regarding the situation :( :( :(

Sorry to hear that , You can try but until AOR is not provided how you will check with them ?

The only thing you can do is try to contact them but rarely to me that can happen . I am saying reality , no intention to sound negative.

My advice would be ready with all documents again or send straightway anyhow that application will be returned if they can't encash money.

How much time it will take for return of my Application as if i try to send a new set of documentation as well i will require originals of PCC and IELTS score .

PCC will again take a month time.

You still have time. Send updated payment info. form along with a cover letter which includes your personal information as well as explanation.

Consider not cancelling your card. Can you check your statement online? Do so. If no one is buying things in your name, leave your card open. If someone does buy something, you're not on the hook for it -- notify the card company after you see CIC's charge appear.

Note -- I don't know if doing this will affect your credit rating. I do know it's better to get processed as quickly as possible; I remember a situation a few years ago where someone sent in their FSW application at a particular deadline, had it returned for some small mistake like yours (forgetting to sign something), and by the time it was returned, the list of occupations had changed so they couldn't apply again. That's the kind of bad luck that changes lives.

I resend the new fee payment form with cover letter requesting the details of lost card . Fingers crossed if they link it to my exsisting application and it get worked

It will work don't worry. Did you mailed it or did you emailed it to CIC ??

I would suggest do both. While sending email include in email that original has been sent to you and also include tracking no. and service through which it is sent.

I send it by post for now , Which email id i should send them the details CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry <CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry@cic.gc.ca>

Any Help regarding email id for sydney and Contact details would be of great help . i am not able to get it.

Yes send it to that email address. Also attach scanned copies of payment info form and cover letter. Don't worry you will be good.

Many have successfully done it

^ I don't know that this actually is guaranteed to work, as you're trying to amend your application prior to AOR, and the additional documents may encounter the same bottlenecks that the application itself does. BUT - it is definitely worth trying, rather than simply waiting for your application to come back.

Recently, I have came across many cases like this. and trust me it worked (but they submitted updated CC details before they started processing their applications). Different thread but all cases happened at CIO-Sydney.
