Hi RicardoSantos, my son got his PR in 2015. and he went back to our country of origin in 2016 and stayed 3years and thank God he does not have a problem when he came back in Canada.

You have to maintain the 2 out of 5 year residency requirement. Make sure you leave a buffer because when you return you may need to travel for work or a family emergency.
