Also, hubby wants me to see how long it takes to land at an office, he's iffy with the bridge (cue me sighing) but will do it if it takes too long to get one.

I'd wait until after he lands to withdraw the application so he keeps the implied status.

Do you mind sharing why he's iffy with the bridge? It's likely to be much faster (you could even do it the same day you get the CoPR in the mail). I've heard on here that wait times for offices can be weeks.

Don't withdraw it until he's landed. They shouldn't process the application once he's landed anyway, but if you withdraw it prematurely he's out of status.

Depends on the office, but usually it takes 2-8 weeks, sometimes longer. Remember, they've cut back inland offices, so the queues are longer. Why is he "iffy" with the bridge? It's about as painless as it gets.

That's what I was thinking as for the visitor's visa. And the iffyness is due to him coming here as a visitor and getting questioned (he has adhd and got distracted a lot so it was difficult for him). But I'll have him suck it up haha! I'm planning a Canadian Party for him with my sisters

Well, you can go with him (yes, yes, I do remember how hard it was when he visited with your hearing ability being tested and all).

It usually is a straightforward process. And that way you can process the car simultaneously (IIRC, he has his car up in Canada).

Go to the US, get your passport stamped (some POEs prefer it) and pick up car export documents (don't forget to send them/fax them ahead of time depending on the POE - you can do it way in advance so you don't have waiting time after getting CoPR). Tell them you want to return to Canada so you can u-turn.

Cross over the bridge to return to Canada, tell the Officer you are landing, s/he will give you a slip, go inside. Once inside, tell the Immigration Officer you are landing and hand over slip from outside officer along with passport and CoPR. Also advise officer you have a B4 form too. The officer will confirm address for PR Card and ask a few questions to probe for changes to marital status, dependents, etc and to confirm all the info on the CoPR. Then officer will ask your husband to sign his CoPR and the officer will stamp and sign it too. That's it for immigration.

Then, officer will direct you to Customs Officer to process B4. You let them know you just landed and hand over B4 form. They will read through it and stamp each page. Send you over to cashier to pick up your receipt and give you the stamped copy back. Since you are importing the car simultaneously, you'll need to fill out the RIV documentation that you'll need for registration also and your title.

I'm trying to figure out how to do the car thing, I'm annoyed with his bank but I'm gonna go talk to MY bank and see if there's something they can do. There's about 3400 left on the car. I've had some issues with credit cards in the past so I have NO idea if I'll get a loan at all. I may be able to since it's not a lot of money but who knows *shakes head* The car is the only very stressful part of it. His mom was thinking we'd be down for christmas : ehh not this year momma haha
