I have a family friend and wanted to help her get her nephew from the Ph, she is eligible for the program but i just need help/idea how did anyone did it especially with supporting documents, also how long is the process now a days , anyone here was successful with diy? or should it be done by consultant?

Has your friend read through the IRCC site for sponsoring other family members as the information outlines what documentation is required? Tell your friend to do it. Processing times are 2-3 years. If friend does not want to do the research nor gather supporting documents then hire a lawyer or consultant.

And she is eligible being a “lonely” Canadian? No children, spouse, family in Canada, both parents/grandparents deceased.

Is she still working at that age? Does she meet the income requirements to qualify as a sponsor?

At 78, she needs to meet LICO to support another relative. So she needs her NOA to show that she meets income requirements.

You said she didn’t have children so are her children deceased too? She has no family member in Canada?
