Dear Friends,
Today I have received, what appears to be, 2nd AOR. It reads:
This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada which was recently received at this office. We have created a file with the file number pasted above. This file number is different from the once assigned to you by the Centralized Intake office in Sydney. You must quote the new file number in any future references or correspondence .....
Couple of concerns here. Hope somebody can answer these
1. At one place its written that: before your application can be placed in processing, a further determination will be made as to whether or not you are eligible. If your application is not eligible ....
Q1. Is this a standard text? And why on earth have they not assessed it yet? Shouldn't they write the letter after assessing it?
2. Another place reads: Applications for permanent residence in Canada in your category require, an average, 12 months to process in this office.
Q2. Will it take another 12 months from the date of this letter?
Q3. Can someone tell me what are the steps from here on? Average time its taking for people who have sent full docs in Jan 2011
