Sam ur Gcms notes also give me hope that may be bwj started my background checks late that y still not completed
 
I had DM made in Mid December and still haven't heard anything! MP, emails, CIC contacted but heard absolutely nothing! I think it's disgusting how they can keep people in limbo like this . . There's patience and then there's patience!!!

Please order GCMS Notes to know more about your file. Also raise a CSE.

Your PPR is very near if DM is after medicals, the delay is probably due to Visa Quota ended for 2015 and many Oct/Nov/Dec 2016 Applicants [Ones who have Medical Received Line in ECAS] received PPR in Jan/Feb 2016 due to that
 
Hi,

Friends I have received GCMS Notes last evening, it shows nothing started even after 13 months since PER. Earlier due date was 31-DEC-2015 now they moved it to 13-Feb.

Not a single line varies from my previous notes which i ordered in October.

What could be the reason of not initiating any checks, its a indication will they dump the file after some time.If checks were started and got stuck somewhere in security/background checks

are acceptable but Put Away Status after 15+ months.

Waiting to get PPR. Hopefully will get within this month.

My mother is visiting Pakistan and sister (dependent) is in Canada. When the ppr will come will she need to come back to Pakistan to send passports with principal applicant or she can send passport to Ottawa for herself? Also, what is the process of entry. Once visa is issued dependant has to take entry at the same time as of principal applicant or they can come after?

I don't know what to say. Are you RFI victim?

Yes 13 Feb for all candidates and if you don't hear till 13 Feb either you are exempted from the March Interview Process or either your file has not been touched.

She can send passports to Ottawa Office. Make sure you intimate the Visa Officer accordingly by raising the CSE.

Yes the Secondary Applicant/Dependent can land after the Principal Applicant but before the Visa Expiry Date.

Mine took 28 days with ADVO, I think I read somewhere people are now getting PPs back in 2 weeks!, good luck.

Yah all my communication was with RFI. As i said no single word vary with my previous notes, except due

date no checks were started. Im pretty sure they didn't open my file even yet.

by the grace of Almighty Allah I have received my passports back today with visa stamped ;) i am so happy and thankful to everyone in the forum here. my visa issued date is 2/2/2016.

Wouldn't it be like that one has to start the whole process from scratch, including the payment of fees (as this one is not refunding for sure).
 
Hi guys,

I need some information from you guys. October 2014 applicant here (BWJ).

My company have just received a reference request from CIC. They have called me to ask if it is okay for them to release the information to them.

I am going to see them tomorrow, however, I am a bit concerned about what they are asking for.

The reason is, due to data protection reasons, they were not able to provide them with a breakdown of my job description etc, so I had to write this myself as a cover letter. They just confirmed that I work there, and confirmed all the promotions I got and the dates of employment alongside my job title. This matches the information in the cover letter.

Who has an idea of what they would normally ask? Or what the reference request would look like? What would they be worried about?

Please I need the response ASAP.
