Hi guys,

Its been so long since I logged in to this forum. I am one of those candidates who are still waiting for Medical request from LVO. My VO is RFI as I figured it out in an email received from LVO for additional documents in March last year. Since then, there is no progress on file and I only sent two CSEs. According to CSE replies, last one in september 2015, file is under background checks. I have kinda started losing hope for my case as I am a july applicant and I hardly see anyone from July still waiting for MR. Does anybody have an idea whats taking so long.

You are not alone.. many 9f the july applicants are victims.. i am July 09 2014 applicant and on the mercy of BWJ. No update after PER

It seems that (DRD+his Officer), are conducting "in depth background checks" prior to issuing the Medical Request. This is the reason that immediately after "Medical Received Line Update" in ECAS, they send Passport Request PPR, within a period less then 2-months.

Otherwise, if we see other Visa Offices, like Ottawa Visa Office, and some other Visa Offices, they are sending Medical Request first and then start the "in depth background checks", that is the reason that those poor applicants whose applications are there, they have completed Medicals in March and April 2015 but up till now there is no update because their background checks were started after that.

But I think that LVO policy is good in the sense that they don't let candidates wait after medicals.

Yes bro i am also 9 july applicant waiting for MR vo is bwj same case scenario as urs file undergoing background checks

To get ECAS update within a period of 1-day to 30-days after medical is done, is a normal practice. It happens when there are too many Medical results received at the same time and CIC head office in Canada needs time to review them. Because all medical results from all Panel Physicians around the world, are sent through online to CIC Canada and there in Canada CIC medical panel reviews these all medical results and if finds that everything is OK then medical officer in CIC Canada updates line in ECAS "Medical Results Received". Therefore your medical results might be in queue to be reviewed by a medical officer in CIC Canada. Or God forbid there will be something not clear in your medical results causing this delay.

Anyhow in all cases send CSE to your Program Assistant and tell him that you have done medical on this date and up till now there is no update in ECAS.
