If someone medical expired , VO has two options.
1: ask for re-medical assessment
2: ask medical board for medical validity extension

VO normally peruse for these steps where final decision is pending only because of medical expiry.

Reassessments for a new medical certificate
This section contains policy, procedures and guidance used by CIC staff. It is posted on the CIC website as a courtesy to stakeholders.
Officers can request a reassessment of an applicant’s medical file by a medical officer or a Health Branch delegated staff. Such request may result in the issuance of a new medical certificate.

Note:

The decision to grant a reassessment is at the discretion of a medical officer or a Health Branch delegated staff.

The process applies only to cases where a final decision is pending due to either:

the expiration of a medical certificate; or,
when the validity of the medical certificate is about to expire and the applicant is unable to land before it expires.
The process does not apply to applicants who are inadmissible on health grounds since inadmissible ‘M’ profiles do not expire.

Eligibility criteria for requesting a reassessment of the applicant’s medical file:
Medical assessment is less than 15 months old (for applicants residing inside or outside Canada); or
Medical assessment is older than 15 months, and the applicant has been residing in Canada continuously for at least the past 2 years (for applicants residing in Canada only).

I got PPR, which asks me to submit my passports to VFS,London. :(
I am in India, and applied from UAE, so my visa office was London.
In order to courier my passports out on India, i might need an authorization from Ministry of External affairs, which is a difficult task.
If it was Canadian Consulate in UAE, well, i can simply got to UAE and get it done there. But London, seems to be difficult, and i have 30 days to do so.
Should I email them asking for a CHC,India ?
What do you guys suggest?

You can do stamping at any VO without further authorization. Just bring you passport request and passports to the VAC (they'll call NDVO if needed).

Hey Diplomatru, are you sure?? If this is the case, its very good option.

It is supposed to be this way. Now just send receipt to their email address and relax.

Thanks for the reply. Its a big relief for me.

Yes. Have you approached the VAC yet?

No, i haven't done it yet. It will open on monday. Do i need a confirmation from LVO, or would the VAC in India accept my passport and send it to CHC, New Delhi, India?
