Guys, congrats to those who got their visas.

One more question,
We received Police Clearance form from one of the European countries, where my husband studied. We received it in February. Shall we renew it? Although the certificate is received AFTER he left that country forever. We cannot wait that long, to receive the clearance form again. Is that OK to send it, although it is already 6 months old?

Dear

The general practice of LVO for Police Clearance Certificate for Pakistan is that they demanded fresh one in most of cases if 6-months have been lapsed although there is no expiry date mentioned on the certificate.
But in your case I think it will be acceptable because my perception is that they demanded fresh one to cover the period from previous issuance date to uptill now during the processing of application. In your case as your husband studied Europe in past so that one should also be acceptable.
In my opinion, you should take a chance to submit the scanned copy of this certificate through CSE. This way, your time will also saved and if LVO has any objection they will share you in short period.

RAZA

I extracted this info from CIC website and hope would be helpful for you.

"In general, you and all the people in your family who are 18 or older need to get a police certificate. You must get one from each country or territory where you have lived for six or more months in a row since the age of 18. (For example, if you lived in a country for eight months but left on a two-week vacation, that counts as living there for eight months.)

For the country you currently live in, the police certificate must be issued no more than six months before you apply.

For countries where you have lived for six months or more, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you lived in that country.

If your certificate is in a language other than English or French, send it when you apply, along with the original copy of a translation done by a certified translator".

This thing also second my point that

You dont need fresh one
