Im still waiting to receive my PPR its exactly 1 month since i did completed my medicals :'( i have 3 mos left on my current working visa and i'd prefer not to extend if it means i'll also leave shortly after (since i want to land immediately). i have a pending vacation to homeland too, which i am holding off till visa is finalized. i'd also like to book tickets while still cheap. i pray and pray to get PPR soooooon. anybody else there in similar situation like me? would love to hear from you. misery loves company...the agony of waiting argh :-X

We sent our passports on 4th Mar,2015 as per LVO instructions and they reached CHC-Abudhabi on 5/3/15... Still, we did not get them back even after 2 weeks of time... We are now littled worried as to what is holding the VO to stamp visa on our passports and isssue COPR...

Is 2 weeks time a normal or something else... My consultant says they might wish to complete security check or background check before they stamp... But, I believe holding passports and waiting for security checks to complete is somewhat inconvenience to the applicants, since many of the applicants would have travel plans lined up.. or there may be some emergency travel....

I am bit worried now...

Is there anybody who sent passports to CHC-Abudhabi??? How much time it takes to get them back...

Be patient. I got our passports from Abu Dhabi at exactly 21 days after handing it personally. This time frame is the same with other applicants.

I am applicant from Oman, I am just waiting now for decision made as I have completed all the steps and my third line was updated in the end of February.

I want to know that where I have to send my passport for visa stamping. It will be Abu Dhabi ???? But it is illegal to send passport thru courier out of country. Can any one put light in this?

I want to do ECA for my elder Brother from Lahore, Pakistan. He has done B.A from University of the Punjab, Lahore and did MBE (Master of Business Education) from University of the Punjab, Lahore. I need advise from all here who can advise me here, from which institute i should opt to apply for my Brother's ECA Report ???

1- WES do attestation for B.A and MBE Degrees? University of the Punjab is on the Panel of WES. But I am not sure about B.A and MBE/MBA Degrees, whether they do it or not? Please share any Personal experience in this regard who has done his B.A and MBE / MBA Degrees attested from WES?

2- For the degrees i mentioned above, what is the advise for choosing either CES or ICAS ??? Anyone who did his/her ECA Report for B.A and MBE/MBA Degrees done from University of the Punjab from CES or ICAS ???

Please reply me in this regard as i need to know a bit more about this before initiating my brother's application for ECA.


Note: I did mine from WES. I am B.Sc Engineer from UET Lahore, and i had strong references of my seniors of UET Lahore who did it from UET Lahore and got their assessments from WES so i chose WES at that time in Feb 2014.

You can contact the embassy or consulate of Canada in Oman and they will have the service to transmit/sent the passports securely and legally to Abu Dhabi and bring back after stamping the Visa. Sure there will be charges for this service.

which city of Oman have you applied from?? i have also applied from, Alburaimi, Oman. for us its really easy as we get the border pass or visit visa of UAE within 5 min.

Me, i resubmit photo last 6-Feb-15 and after that i did not hear anything from them....

Hi All,

I have no idea if its good news..

I had applied in 2010 and my application got NER from VO in 2012. It was visible upto yesterday (decision made).
Therefore, I could view two statuses, one decision made and another in process.

Today, the old status of decision is removed and I can see only my "In Process" application status.

26 September applicant, PER on 8 Jan and submitted photos on 16 February. Hoping for the best myself and everyone.

I applied from Kuwait and not from Oman. See the below link which is for the visa center in Oman. I know the GCC residents can visit UAE easily but it will take around 25 days to get back the passport from Abudhabi Embassy if you submit it personally. Can you manage to stay in UAE for this much time.
