Hey mates

Its almost a year since my processing started in LVO. my last gcms whic i received in september shows a note label: eligibility
**NOC 2147 file held W/DRS**
Some experts suggests they have problem with your JDs. Thats why ther have put your application on hold.
Now in my detailed notes they says PA appear to meet the eligibility critera. Interview waived. And so on.
Most of the applicants were called for interview when VO had concerns over JDs. But mine is waived and ecas also shows 2nd line.
Need some input on this. The situation has made me worried.

Luqi, have you received your new GCMS notes? when was your last activity on your file ?

I still have a single line in my e-cas. :) Last activity was on 05 June 2014. Since then they did not bother to touch my application ....

I don't think they have any problem. They would like us to keep correspondence to a minimum. I personally think Canadian high commission / visa offices are the most flexible of all I have seen. Otherwise, for other visa applications for e.g. UK or US or Australia, once you submit your documents, you don't hear from them until they make a decision on your file. You cannot send additional documents. They don't even invite people for interview if they have any doubts. They simply refuse application. And the best part about Canadian PR process is that they charge fees only if an application is complete.

For all other embassies / visa processes I have seen, they charged you the processing fee before they look at the file. I think they are fair in telling us that the whole immigration process is complex and time consuming. All applicants need to have patience otherwise they shouldn't have applied in the first place.

I'm June 23rd applicant, received PER on 21st Oct, still no 2nd line update.

A question from the people who did their landings recently... In How many days did you guys receive your PR Cards?? How much time is being taken by CIC recently to issue PR cards??

Thanks Haral...but as per CIC website, it says 33 calender days... Is it true or not? Or same like they show application processing timelines on their website which is usually not correct?

that should be their avg processing time. it took about close to 2 months for mine while wife's reached in 2 1/2 months
