Hi Guys,

As I posted earlier also I had teh second line added in ECAS that the Processing has been started on 24th January, 2014. But I didn't hear any thing back from London Visa Office so far. I dropped them an email on 4th February, 2014 and received a response on 5th February, 2014 which was "We are currently in the process of conducting the necessary background/ security checks for your application"

So is this a good sign that they are satisfied with my application (documents etc.) and require no more information from myside ?

In deed it's a good sign.

They are done with the MI or eligibility review, now they are doing BG checks for you, it's a normal routine process.
You have very slim chances of being called for interview. Soon you will hear your MR news from LVO. All the best.

I would say it is a good sign they are satisfied with your application. That is the reason why there is a 2nd line in your ecas. From the email you received, they are in the process of conducting BG/security check for your application which should last for 2 months or thereabout. When that is done, they would send MR,RPRF and PP email. All the best.

mabmab,

I can understand your anger and tension but it is not going to help you at all. It will just make your life unrestful. I suggest to remain calm and enjoy the waiting time. If NDVO fellows are getting quicker PR visa, they are just more lucky than LVO fellows or other VO fellows.

Minister's statement of 1 year processing could be considered a policy statement to show their intention but it is not legally binding on them to follow, that's my understanding. Even nohting was promised before we applied or mentioned in any of the form or CIC website that FSW 2013 applicants will be processed in one year. Based on this, I am sure that you will get typical reply from Minitster's Office that your application is not delayed and is being processed normally. I don't see any benefit of sending emails to Minister or any one else. We will have to just wait for our turn which will come for sure sooner or later.

I always remember that getting Canadian PR is not my RIGHT, it is my PRIVILEGE.

Is it better to twit Minister & explain our situation , and let him know what LVO is doing to us and difference between NDVO & LVO processing protocol ?

Cant we make him understand that FSW 2013 processing time should be equal for all, and he should instruct other VO's ?

I know , you guys feel that I am now over-reacting but when I see NDVO thread (Main thread), it gives me more Pain and disappointment the way things at our end. Its just not me, WE ALL ARE STUCK ! No one is spared. Not even a single visa issued, not even medicals !

NDVO is finalizing august/sept applications, and LVO hasn't finished May 2013 applications. How is this going to work ? Where do we stand ? Surely most of May applicants are now stuck with interviews- and now it will take time, till then seems they are and they will NOT process further applications, as there is NO any positive indicator showing they actually working to finalize FSW 2013 quickly.

I strongly dis-agree with all those who believe LVO is working on all applications and things might speed up after interview pools of earlier phase. This is ridiculous !

To finalize FSW 2013 application within a year is their priority or not, Are they working on it or not ? Or they going to put us is same garbage of backlog ? This is important to know. Till now, I don't think FSW 2013 is their priority, Sending pools of interview and very few medicals is NOT showing their priority at all.

On FSW 2013 MAIN THREAD (Which has now become more of NDVO thread & rightly so owing to NDVO fast super throttle activity) one of LVO applicant has posted below. He is not on LVO spreadsheet nor we know about his NOC/TimeLine etc

can_immi

I received CSE inquiry reply from LVO.It says

"Your application is currently under review and we will be in contact with you in due course."

Does it mean any thing special or it just routine reply?

you are right we cant do anything to make LVO move but few things should be cleared to us 1- WILL BG check will be done for all applicants? if yes then for sure we have to wait for 2-3 years and on the other hand NDVO gave visas to august applicants so how did they complete BG check so quickly? 2- if files r randomly picked for BG CHECK than LVO still not able to clear may applicants at least? 3- we often say that LVO are dealing the cases of so many countries so it means they are getting more applications but they definitley WILL have more staff, resources to handle those cases so how can this be the reason for their delay 4- at last i am of the conclusion by watching LVO past record of dealing cases of MI-1,MI-2 and MI-3 ,we are unlucky being with LVO,

May - Total 67, out of which for 26% interview is requested, 11.9% medical is requested, 64% no status....As of 19-02-2014.
June - Total 45, out of which for 0% interview is requested, 0% medical is requested, 2.2% we started processing and 97.8% no status....As of 19-02-2014.
July - Total 31, out of which for 0% interview is requested, 3.2% medical is requested, 16.1% we started processing and 80.7% no status....As of 19-02-2014.

I was trying to have some understanding on the sampling plan lot LVO is trying to take, a general or a good sampling constitutes somewhere between 5 to 10%, but looks like LVO is taking a very high sampling plan which is not normal. This type to sampling is only considered when the risk is high......................Now we need to guess what risk/concerns does LVO hold........the answer to this may lead us to the logical conclusion.

there needs to be a sampling plan so that it can be implemented. looking from the above looks like there is a sampling plan, which is obviously high sampling.

Under general practise once the sampling is positive then ALL THE LOT will be cleared, its the sampling implementation finds some rotten applications then obviously the sampling will be increased. At this moment looks like LVO is having some concerns on particular NOC's.

Abu Hassan,

Based on the interview stories so far, what do you think is the mode/direction of LVO officers. What are their basic focus, in general? Do you think they will pass or fail more candidates? they are giving tough time or easy time?
