well as per current trend previous year applicants are even getting ppr1 in one month time after medicals submission..
so things can move ahead drastically inshaAllah....

but to my own opinion....1 month to 3 months time for ppr1 and then ppr2 within 2 weeks/1 month of ppr1...
for cases of extended criminality checks...we may add another 2-3 months to above...(im expecting tht on my case so i can eye well on ur ppr1:) )

so maximum time is 6 months for us to have visa in hands inshaAllah....
frankly weather is tough these days...june 2014 to aug 2014 landing would be the best time...n our kids will not curse us for depriving them of outdoor fun and parks

Thanks a lot Maria.....I wish same for you as well. I pray that everybody from us would get good news soon.
We should be expecting PPR1 in 2 to 3 months time from the date of receipt of our medicals, what is your opinion.

What is this PPR1 and PPR2 never heard of this. Its always PPR as per my understanding. Please let me know.

One of my close friend got PPR email last year...he sent his passports and then in 2-3 weeks he received his passports back with visa ... thats it...he was also in UAE...

A quote from another forum member:

Rawat anil:
in dubai it doesn;t come in 2 step. they will ask you to send the passport to london by courier, so you have to send it by courier. it will come back to you in 45 days (appr) with the stamped visa.
there is other option also to sumit the passport personally to london in that case it take only 2 weeks.

hope it help

Yes I think people who applied from and residing in Pakistan are having this PPR1 and PPR2. Several of my friends (who are from Pakistan but applied from UK or UAE) have PPR direct (no PPR1 or PPR2).

One more question:

Backgrounds check happen before MR or after MR?

As we know all visa offices donot follow FIFO rule for issuing MR as each case can be different where background check/delay is also an important factor....but if background check happens after MR then why VO's are not following FIFO rule in issuing MR....

Question: Are we expected to meet VO who is expert in our specialties? because it makes the preparation different.

The B/G checks prior to Medicals are related to documents i.e. work exp, education etc
The B/G checks post Medicals are related to security/criminal concerns.

I have been waiting for my RRP for almost 11 months now. Case is processed in LVO. Medical expiring in less than a month. Is it because of delays from LVO or some other reason?

It may happen or not. Sometimes VO holds sound knowledge about the technology sometimes they just follow the set of questions prepared by some one else.
Same thing sometimes in interview you will have more than one people (Technical) he or she might be just asking the questions that are with them on paper.

I was going through with some of the old cases there was one guy from NDVO claimed to worked as electrician and the VO asks some basic questions and he couldn't answer, VO told him that he him self worked as electrical engineer before and the questions he asked are just the basic one's.

woww tht sounds cool....certainly knowledge to me....is tht true...i was expecting ppr1 and ppr2 like pakistani applicants...
any idea how long it takes for ppr from medicals then???

As far as all the people (5 or 6 colleagues) I know from UAE and UK (Pakistani Nationals)....they received only one request to submit the passport...one of my very close firend (while he did all his process, i have seen all his letters and emails etc...)he got his PPR after around 2.5 months after his MR...

He received the email as below:

Dear Applicant,

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada. We are now ready to finalise your application.

We look forward to receiving the following information within next 60 days:

1- Your passport and a passport for each accompanying family member. The passports must meet the Passport Specifications
2. Two recent photographs of yourself and two recent photographs of each of your accompanying family members.
3. The “Updated Family Information Chart” fully completed for you and each accompanying family member (form attached).

Thanks

Did Someone apply for GCMS notes after the medical and 3rd line addition in ECAS to see what is happening with the files...like if any BG checks are going-on or are those BG checks already done?

Maria/Farhan as you are the first ones who are done with medical and ECAS update....can you order/check ur ECAS notes?

I am planning for the same but I have not done my medical yet as I am out of country on a business trip and will be back by next 2nd week next month and then will do the medicals.

Thnx

Thanks for sharing this with me JBZZS....im eagerly waiting for this mail :)
