did someone has submitted passport to London office VAC from their relatives in UK is it possible to do?

Yes - an Authority letter sounds like a good precaution: When I dropped them off, they asked me if I will have some other identification (e.g. driving license) to show when I come back to collect my passports.

Its better to ask VO for clarification , and share their response on forum for updating every one.
Excellent example is of a mate , who paid his RPRF electronically , and now is in difficulty

Give instructions to your bank send the balance amount with charges type "our" in banking terms this means any charges for remitting bank and beneficiary banks to be deducted from your account.

Only option , as far as I believe is;

Request LVO to refund his fee that has been sent electronically , and he will be bearing all remittance charges, and sent DD for his RPRF.

Getting DD is not an issue , could be arranged through many sources

I got the similar request from my LVO and asked me to submit passport, photos and Update document to VAC London. Issue is that i am not in London and i checked from my country that DHL is taking original passports so i am planning to send it to my cousin in UK and then he will submit the package with VAC. My question is that is it possible? and do i need to give him any authority letter?

Ok here you go.... you could directly send to VFS London.

I was in the same situation last week. Not in London, but had to submit to VAC(VFS) London for submission to London Visa Office.

Had explored all possibilities.

Tried to go through local VFS in Abudhabi. It seems each VFS will handle only local VISA office work. Abudhabi VFS does Abudhabi Canada visa Office work only. They refused to take.

Here is what they advised:
Send passports, photos, Updated Information chart, etc if any. Also include a self-addressed return courier envelope, PPR email from London visa office, letter advising you to send to VFS London and VFS service charge DD in GBP 16.30 for a family or Individual(incase) same cost.

In Dubai, only Fedex had international return courier option for individuals(had to create account using credit card), so i had to go through them.

Once VFS London receives, in couple of days they would send a tracking no. for status check.

I agree with this post. It is always better to follow instructions.

LVO wants bank drafts. So applicants should send them bank drafts.

Finding loopholes on their website to force them to accept credit card payments is not acceptable.

And credit card companies charge a percentage fee, 2%-3%, not a $ amount.

The acquiring bank will have its own fees. The merchant bank will have its own fees. To figure out exactly how much to pay in this case is not easy.

wow wow i m 100% agree with u and brother saeed. No doubt bank draft is best and safest way to pay. But when u r living in a country where banks dont issue bank drafts then u have to do what i did . Anyways thank u for help
