What is the minimum amount required for a family of 3 members. CIC says CAD 18097 as proof of funds to be shown to visa officer. should i carry same money with me ?

You need to adhere by the laws.

in my case, In PPR1 they say Riyadh but in PPR 2 they say Abu dhabi.

Mystery 1: Some applicants (in middle east) are getting PPR1 + PPR2 whereas some are getting direct PPR

Mystery 2: Some applicants (in middle east) are being asked to send Passports to London whereas some are being asked to send to Abu Dhabi

Can we analyze WHY?

I have been asked to submit to VFS in Riyadh. Only got PPR2

I have just received my PPR.

PPR was dated May 29, 2014, Thursday. My consultant just forwarded it to me.

1. I think for ME applicants, PPR1/2 depends on passport validity. If at the time of initial application passport had 1 year left and applicant has not sent renewed passport to LVO until PPR is due, then they send PPR1. If applicant has already sent renewed passport copies to update LVO's record then might be he/she would receive PPR2.

2. Moreover, ME (other than KSA) applicants of FSW 2013 need to submit their passports in Abu Dhabi office however KSA based applicants are required to submit in Riyadh through VFS.

In either case, LVO is really getting on our nerves and becoming enigmatic Visa Office

I have been asked to submit to VFS in Riyadh. Only got PPR2

So it means VFS will take ur passport and they may send to London...

One observation till now:

If a middle east applicant gets PPR1 then PPR2 goes to Abu Dhabi (shkzshkz, azian example) but if applicant gets direct PPR2 (no PPR1) then it goes to London either via VFS or via direct courier (ibasco, Ahab1974 and some others example)

Good news from my side as well .

By the grace of Allah, i have also received the PPR 1 on 29th May.


However, i want to know that does this means that Visa officer has waived my Saudi PCC requirement.

Hi and congratulations for clearing your medicals.

Now your sec/Check is started from the medical request date. It can be completed anytime between 90-180 days or even less.
So now you are officially part of the DM (Decision Made) club.
