DestinyCanada,

Act immediately and send updated Schedule A with answer to question no. 6d "YES" and submit a written explanation along with the updated form. Explain how you misread and overlooked the question and your intention wasn't to hide anything.

They are going to find it straight away and it may be considered misrepresentation which could turned up with unwanted results. Therefore, don't wait and send scanned copies of Schedule A and written application on your case officer's email if available; else send them through web form.

I believe yes I signed the form. Now what should I do next. Should I resend form again with covering letter. But God knows my intention is not to hide information but I missed that clause completely. However my US visit visa was not reject due to any security criteria but actually I don't have fund as per US standards.

Hi DestinyCanada,

I just though it would've been better if you hadn't signed it, perhaps that they'd already done security for you or forgotten it (so you wouldn't have signed under oath etc) but lets not worry about that now, I suspect it is still fixable, and you only said you had filled it to the best of your knowledge, and our knowledge does fail us at times :)

I'm no lawyer, but I think you should use the email/CSE route to contact them (for which you'll get an immediate electronic receipt). Triple check the form first obviously.
You should include two things in your email - one is the corrected CSE (say you were declined a US visit visa on DD/MM/YYYY as you didn't meet their application criteria) and the other is a short letter apologising for forgetting about the US visit visa when answering the question in your previous schedule A and that you would like the opportunity to provide the enclosed replacement. That you are sending this the moment you have remembered about it, you apologise for any inconvenience caused, and would they be kind enough to acknowledge that they will process on the basis of the new form.

The office is closed on Monday, so you have time to get your letter right, but don't delay unnecessarily - you want your new Schedule A in the file before the security check comes back.

All the best :)

PS. Do ensure that you keep good funds in your bank account, in case they check the US file and decide to give scrutiny to your Proof of Funds, though I suppose it is possible that their computer may only say you were refused, not why.

@ Lostworld - I asked HSBC UK for a CAD draft and they told me they don't do them any more. Barclays and Nationwide still do them, or failing that Travelex etc can probably help. I got mine from Nationwide, took 2 days but allow a week.

Thanks loncan and Hila01,

You are right HSBC don't do any more, I request from Barclay they do it in 3days time, Home delivery.

Thanks for info.

Hello Forum Mates,

I have mailed the Landing Fees, Saudi PCC wavier request letter on 30th April and also done with medical on 1st May. However, now i find another problem in my application. Actually me and my wife got US visit visa rejection 3 years back but it was not stamped in our passports. Now problem is that i have not mentioned it in background and declaration part of Schedule A form as i thought that they are only asking about Canada visa rejections and not even in updated form in interview. What should i do. Should i sent them updated form or wait till they ask for anything.

Please help, i am very much worried.

Although you can get very valuable advises from experts in this thread, in your place, I would URGENTLY get a paid legal advise from a Canadian immigration consultant. I advise you to minimize the risk and get a legal advise from appropriate consultant.

Yeah good point Soundless - none of us are lawyers (well I'm not anyway :) )

DestinyCanada - if you do decide to consult a lawyer then there are two things to note:

1. From what I've read, not all lawyers will look at a case already underway, but some do - so just try another if the first says no.
2. Go with somebody who has the time to look at your case quickly; if you need to write to CIC then it is likely that time is of the essence.

Whatever you decide to do, I hope it is all resolved without problems.
All the best

Definitely it is a good sign that LVO is asking updated forms and documents through email. That means they are reducing the postal delay in the process. However, its a very recent trend asking documents through email.

Dear Fellows,

After my address change request I got the following reply from LVO.

"Thank for the information. A full review of your file will be completed shortly and we will be in contact to request and required further documentation."

The term "shortly" reflects something to be expected in near future or is it a general term?

Regards,

Hi sherry, it is a general term from LVO. No one can really define the term "shortly" according to their dictionary. It could be anytime. Keep checking your email.
