Dear Forum Members,

I raised CSE last month on 5th Dec, 2015 regarding my application status. I received following email

Sir, Madam,

Thank you for contacting Citizenship and Immigration Canada. I am pleased to follow up on your request:

The current processing times on our website regarding federal skilled worker applications processed by the Canadian visa office in London, England, are 18 months. Your application was received in London on February 13, 2015. Please write back to us if you have not received a decision after August 13, 2016.

Richard
Agent #3676
Citizenship and Immigration Canada

What shall I do ?

Bro it seems that you had contacted CIC directly and not your visa office. CIC can only intervene once the processing time had passed which currently is 13 months.

You can contact CIC after march 13 only but you can raise CSE to your visa office now to ask about the status of your application.

This reply also give an idea that the processing time will be calculated from the day once the file transfer to the visa office.

Very good catch Jam. OP has sent the CSE to CIC and not the London Visa Office.

Please raise CSE through

https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=london

Congratulations, me also got my visa last week.
Do you have any idea about requesting a bank statement upon landing??

Thanks in advance

What is your own situation, Jams? At what stage you case has reached? Whether you raised any latest CSE or ordered GCMS notes? And what was the updated status or new due dates?

Bro I raised CSE and no reply by VO.

GCMS ordered at the end of November shows the due date as 31/12/2015.

No new updates

May be raise CSE again within this week or next week.

This is really too pathetic.
They are playing with emotions of the poor applicants. At least they should inform the applicant or they should mention more elaborate status in ECAS. But unfortunately we don't have any option except to wait.

Dear Friends,

I raised CSE yesterday and got reply form VCM that i have to appear in interview. It says that visa officer has reviewed the file and deemed that i require interview. The interview will be in Abu Dhbai with in next six months.

Now i am a bit worried that why they have called an interview? what could be a cause behind it. I will request GCMS notes by tomorrow hopefully.

Seniors please advise and help regarding interview.

Kind regards,
Seemab Aqil

1) There is no such thing as FSW visa. All immigrants get one type of visa which is IM-1
2) That's totally up to them.
3) Of course, it's a single entry visa. Once you land and become PR you won't be needing visas to Canada any longer
